Jaw Couplings

The GAS coupling is a compact elastomeric coupling consisting of two fully turned steel hubs (UNI EN 10083/98) and a central elastomeric element (spider). The hub’s jaw profile is designed to ensure the elastomeric element works solely in compression and not in shear, ensuring a long service life even in high-reversal or high-load applications. The elastomer ensures:
- Absorption of shocks and vibrations;
- Compensation for unavoidable misalignment between shafts;
- Silent operation during transmission.
The basic GAS/SG series consists of modular components that can be assembled to achieve the ideal configuration for the application:
- Hub 1 (M1): Standard hub for any type of connection;
- Long Hub 1 (M1L): Extended hub for connecting long shafts;
- Hub 2 (M2): Hub with reduced outer diameter for assembly in confined spaces.
